Are you also one of those students? Well, the immense potential of this sector has triggered the demand for the skilled professionals in this field, and the all-India entrance exam NEET has come to be named together with JEE, the premier engineering entrance exam in India. Year after year, students from all across the world come together to fill the entry form for these exams. When it comes to clearing the medical or engineering entrance exam these students appear so nervous and depressed because they have heard from everywhere that these are one of the most difficult entrance exams to pass. Hearing this makes them all the more conscious making their confidence level go down.
That’s fine, it’s not an easy thing to clear the medical or engineering test, but if studies are performed in the right manner, then it’s easy to do all the hard stuff. isn’t it?
Below are a few tips that will help you alleviate stress while you study for the entrance exams.
1. Get familiar with the entire syllabus
With the fear of getting failed in the exam, many students start studying without even reviewing their entire syllabus, which is very wrong. That’s why the first and most important thing any student should do is get to know their full syllabus. By doing so, you can become familiar with your examination pattern and therefore your level of confidence will increase. Also, note that NEET contains class 11th and class 12 NCERT syllabus. Therefore, make sure you are thoroughly prepared with NCERT and all the other reference materials in your preparation.
2. Maintain proper time management
Are you managing your time? Do you plan what to study at which time? Well, there are a lot of students who never manage their time and as a result, they stress out, their morale goes down, anxious and so forth. Planning your study time well in advance on a weekly basis is a smart practice. This will not only alleviate your tension but also take you to the reminder mode of what you have to do at what time and how much time is left with you to cover the whole syllabus.
3. Say no to Mobile Phones
Did you know why most students get distracted easily? Well because of their cell phones. Yes, that’s true mobile phones play a key role in everybody’s life. They have become an essential part of our life. They have become really important because we get all the information from it, but it can’t be denied that they’re the major diversion for us as well. Researchers say that not only are all social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp distracting students from their studies, but also making them more anxious and putting them in a great depression. So, it’s advisable that while studying make sure to give your cell phones to your parents or uninstall the app for a few days. As once exams are over you have enough time left to enjoy all of this.
4. Solving previous year question paper
The easiest way to clear your medical exam is to solve your previous question paper as much as you can, as it changes hardly every year. Gather previous three to four-year question papers and try to solve them in a specific time and give it your best shot. In doing so, you’ll not only get an understanding of your exam, but you’ll also understand the technique and method for solving the paper, which is really significant. You will be able to familiarise yourself with the duration of the paper that will come in your final exam and, most importantly, you will be able to slowly and steadily say goodbye to your fear.
5. Relax and Stop being Anxious
Those who are always top in class, for them also just a day before the exam is just like a nightmare. Many students get scared and anxious for their next day which is wrong as this will shake your confidence level and at the end, you won’t be able to do your best on the day of the final exam. So, make sure you overhaul your entire syllabus before the night, then close it all and take a nice nap. Don’t worry too much and always trust your capabilities.
6. Have a balanced diet
Preparing for the exam is a very big and challenging struggle for any student and taking good quantities of food plays a crucial role when you are preparing for the exams. Yet the question now is what do I eat? Well, if you’re a lover of coffee or tea, that’s fine but somebody says, “consuming too much can be harmful to your body.” That means consuming too much caffeine will increase the level of stress in a person’s body. Perhaps consider eating nutritious foods like almonds, dark chocolates, pumpkin, pistachios. As these snacks are delicious and brain-boosting too. In addition, drinking green tea is also very beneficial when studying as green tea will increase your metabolism as a result, decreasing your stress level. However, always remember to eat in a limit and avoid overeating.
